Welcome To EctoLabs!

Hello! My name is Dave, and EctoLabs is my ongoing project to provide original replica props and costume accessories to fans of the movie franchise Ghostbusters. As a fan of the franchise since the age of seven, the sudden desire to build my own screen-accurate costume came as a way of passing the time during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown of 2020. Rather than keep the designs for myself, I thought it would be fun to offer them for sale to other fans. Initially selling exclusively to members of GBFans.com, I am now offering my items to the wider world here on ectolabs.net.

FAQs

What is the availability of your products?
Rather than offering continuous stock for sale, all EctoLabs products are produced as limited runs. This means that a small number of each item will be made at irregular intervals. These runs will then be made available to purchase on this site as soon as they are ready to ship and I will notify those people who have added themselves to our interest lists. In some cases, I will offer pre-orders for popular items so that customers can secure an item before it has been made available for general sale.

How do I place an order?
Ordering on ectolabs.net is much the same as any other online store. Any items that are in stock can be added to your shopping cart and purchased for immediate shipment using PayPal's secure checkout. For items that are available to pre-order, payment will be taken to secure an item from an upcoming run. The item will be shipped as soon as it has been completed (usually with 14 working days). Once your order has been confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email from EctoLabs and a payment confirmation from PayPal.

Do I have to use a PayPal account?
No, you do NOT need a PayPal account to complete purchase. Simply click on one of the card logos underneath the PayPal button to checkout as a guest. You can pay using all major debit and credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Maestro.

How fast will my order be dispatched?
If your order contains only in-stock items, we aim to ship within 1 working day where possible. Pre-order items will usually be shipped between 7-14 days, or maybe sooner depending on production timelines. If your order contains a mix of in-stock and pre-ordered items, we will ship all items together as soon as they are all available. You may request that the in-stock items be shipped immediately, but please be aware that we will need to charge for the shipping of any outstanding items as extra.

Do you ship internationally?
Absolutely. I happily ship to any country in the world using Royal Mail's International Tracked services. Each product page includes an approximate shipping fee for that item alone, along with the rates for the most popular destinations. If your order contains more than one item, shipping is calculated based on the combined weight of your order. The total shipping amount will be displayed on the checkout page as soon as you select your country.

Can I track my order?
Yes. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order has been shipped which will provide detailed information on the current whereabouts of your parcel. This can be used on Royal Mail's tracking website or any international mail carrier.

How long will my order take to arrive?
This obviously depends on your location, but Royal Mail's delivery aims are: next working day for UK orders; 3-4 working days within the EU; and 5-7 working days for the rest of the world. Please note that this is only an estimate and delivery times cannot be guaranteed. Any postal delays are out of my hands, but I will do my best to get your order to you as quickly as possible. The item I want is out of stock! How do I get on the waiting list?
When an item is out of stock, an "EMAIL ME" button will be displayed in place of the usual "ADD TO CART". Click on this button to add your name and email address to our waiting list for that item. You will then be amongst the first to receive stock updates, including notifications about forthcoming pre-orders.
